Fatty Food for the Week of 11/21/07
San Francisco's It's It

It's what you may ask? I'm still not sure exactly, but according to the back of the box it's been San Francisco's tradition since 1928. I always thought their tradition was having terrible sitcoms starring Bob Saget. Well that and their cable car system.
Anyway, on first inspection the food looks rather suspect with just one white hole visible in an otherwise completely black mass.
Yeah, I'm not that fond of biting into something that looks like a giant rabbit turd. Fortunately, the box comes with a handy graphic that lets you know exactly what you're eating.
Also fortunate is that It's It doesn't taste like what it looks like either. In other words, It's It doesn't taste like shit. It's actually rather good with the chocolate balancing out the oatmeal flavor nicely. I'm not the biggest fan of vanilla ice cream, but if that's what floats your boat, even better.
The biggest problem with this snack is just how messy the food can be. If you ever get your hands on one of these things make sure you have a plate and are not on the go. Otherwise with the time it takes to chomp through all these layers your hands will be smeared with chocolate.
